Brimfield is a small community located northwest of Peoria, right in the heartland of Illinois. It is part of the Peoria-Pekin metropolitan area. With only 932 residents this town is small enough to make sure everyone knows practically everyone else, but due to its proximity to Peoria there are plenty of resources and amenities close at hand.

Brimfield also enjoys its location near the Spoon River and Spoon Valley Lake, both of which provide numerous outdoor activities and vibrant fall color. The Peoria Bicycle Club often holds races that run through Brimfield. Brimfield still has a rural feel to it because it has remained such a hidden treasure for so long!

Peoria is just a few minutes away, and although it is not as well known as Chicago, this Illinois city has a lot going for it. The Illinois River runs right through the city, and the River Front is undergoing a renaissance, and many old buildings are being revamped and new businesses are coming in.

"Will it play in Peoria?" was a tagline used by vaudeville acts in the past. This referred not only to the demanding audiences in this Midwest city; but also to the fact that Peoria is the heart of the heartland. If folks like it here, there's a good chance that plenty of others will like it, too.

Site of the world headquarters of Caterpillar, Inc., and long considered a blue-collar town, this three-time All American city has lately begun to diversify its economy with infotech industries. But you can still expect to see tractor pulls at the local fairs. Caterpillar is, after all, a major economic force here.

Brimfield is a great commuter town for those who work in Peoria; homes here reflect the values of the residents, with lovely tree-lined streets and mature homes. But the best part is the price! A comfortable ranch-style or bungalow-style home can sell for as little as $60,000. A luxurious home with all the latest amenities, built on a very large lot can run as high as $300,000, but that is the exception, rather than the norm.

Brimfield unquestionably experiences all four seasons. Summer time comes in full blast as temperatures peak up to the 90's and 100's. Fall is washed in color as the trees are splashed with shades of gold, orange, red and green. Winter is snowman season, as the thermometer dips into the teens and twenties.

Brimfield may not be a hidden treasure for much longer, with Peoria expanding and changing its image, people are beginning to flock to this community. Come and get your slice of American heaven soon!
