Bridgman, Michigan
Population: 2,428 Located in Berrien County
The Bridgman area is close to major metropolitan cities, yet far enough away to hold a little bit of yesteryear's Americana. The industry of our county is also noteworthy. There are more than 450 manufacturers - with a population of less than 162,000; that's quite impressive! We are fortunate to live so close to the beautiful waterways and shorelines of Lake Michigan. Fishing and water sports abound! Our sunsets are unbelievable. The communities of Bridgman area include Baroda, Bridgman, Lake Township, and Sawyer. In the dune area there are a variety of upscale homes and condominiums, with many still under construction. Other areas of the city have several new subdivisions developed with medium priced housing. Bridgman is also home to a new State Police Post located on Red Arrow Highway. In 1980 the city upgraded its water system, replacing the old water mains throughout the city, constructing a new water tower and making necessary improvements to the water filtration plant. Bridgman has also undertaken major street-building projects that included Red Arrow Highway that bisects the city. They have also developed sidewalks from the downtown area, west on Lake Street to Weko Beach. The sidewalks have proven to be very popular with the residents as it makes a 'walk to the beach' more enjoyable. The community has an excellent educational system, offering small classes, abundant physical facilities and its own indoors Olympic-size pool. With its appealing homes, excellent schools, dunes, beaches, parks and proximity to larger cities, this family oriented community is a wonderful place to live. Our slower paced personal lives, combined with our challenging - fast paced professional lives make our area the perfect place to live, start a business, and raise a family! While some may only dream of an area where nature's majesty and yesteryear's values can be combined with all the modern conveniences - we live it and welcome you to join us!
