Coopersville was incorporated as a village in 1871. Downtown Coopersville is the perfect old-fashion mainstreet. Recent additions of the Farm Museum, Del Shannon Museum (he was born here), and the Farmer's Market have been a positive influence on Coopersville's growth and commerce. The Coopersville to Marne Railroad is a big attraction for kids of all ages. It draws people from quite a distance for a chance to ride a "real train". The Coopersville school system is great! (and awesome football team). There are churches of many denominations in the area to serve your spiritual needs. Grand Valley State University is only 10-15 minutes to the south for an easy commute.
