Goodrich Michigan is home to 1,353 residents in Genesee County and covers 2.3 square miles. Goodrich is 15 miles from Flint, and is closest to the following cities; Ortonville, MI (6.1 miles), Davison, MI (7.9 miles), Grand Blanc, MI (8.2 miles), Burton, MI (10.3 miles), Holly, MI (11.7 miles), Village of Clarkston, MI (13.8 miles), Metamora, MI (14.9 miles) and Lake Fenton, MI (15.0 miles).

Goodrich is located in southeastern Genesee County. This picturesque town is situated on a mill pond, part of Kearsley Creek. The dam is located under the bridge of the main street area. Several well-preserved turn-of-the-century style buildings give the town a historical look.

Goodrich was started in 1835 when Enos, Moses and Levi Goodrich purchased a thousand acres here and built a cabin. The town originally was named Atlas, after the township, but Reuben Goodrich changed the name in 1849 when he became the postmaster there. It was incorporated as a village in 1957.
