Timber Ridge Golf Club, located 5 miles from Okemos is one of only 12 public courses in North America to be honored with the highest possible rating, five stars, by Golf Digest readers. This Michigan golf course is also listed in the Top 50 in terms of value for the money and course condition, and in the Top 10 courses for unrestricted walking. Timber Ridge Golf Club was honored by Golf Digest as America's 4th best new public course when it opened in 1990.
