"In the last 15 years Strongsville has blossomed into one of Cuyahoga County's most livable communities . . ." said Cleveland Magazine, also stating that a balanced tax base "augers well for the city's economic and financial future."

Strongsville calls itself a city in transition, citing great historical preservation along with progressive residential and commercial growth. According to their mayor, "There 's room for everything in Strongsville. It's a great place to live because we have excellent zoning laws, so we don't have a hodgepodge community."

The city has existed since 1816. Its progress has been noticeable in recent years with its population doubling during the past 25 years. Business and industry are healthy and there are over 100 industrial firms, three business parks with 1450 acres of vacant land for manufacturing, office and research development and an extremely active group of community and business groups.
New home development is ongoing and there is also a good choice of apartments and cluster housing.

Recreational facilities include the Metroparks and Strongsville Community Playground with offerings for all ages. Residents enjoy the new state of the art community recreational center with indoor pools, weight rooms, indoor track, basketball courts, a senior citizen wing, and more.
The reputation of the school system attracts many newcomers to the area and parents are said to have especially high expectations for their children. The city's ninth grade proficiency test scores were highest on Cleveland's west side area and fourth highest in Ohio in 1995.

Housing Enhancement Loan Program (H.E.L.P.)
The City of Strongsville and Cuyahoga County have worked together to offer the citizens of Strongsville a unique home improvement loan option known as H.E.L.P. This loan program has no maximum income ceiling and is a great resource for homeowners who wish to borrow money at low interest rates for home improvement projects.

Tax Incentives
Strongsville currently has nineteen (19) Community Reinvestment Areas established for its Tax Abatement Program.

All industrial zoned land in the city is a part of a Community Reinvestment Area Incentive. This means that Strongsville will provide tax incentive on the real estate improvement, upon application, for ten years based on 100% of the real estate improvements actually made at the site.

The city also has a Limited Enterprise Zone and, therefore, can offer limited real estate and personal property tax incentives. Tax incentive is limited to resident and new companies qualifying under the state program. We will be happy to work with you and negotiate a fair project for you and the City of Strongsville.
