Lawrence Township offers something for everyone. Several major shopping areas are located within the township, the most notable being Castleton Square Mall, with over 150 stores plus hotels, restaurants and movie theatres. Geist Reservoir is also located in Lawrence Township and has long been appreciated by the residents as a recreational area for boating and fishing.

The New Fort Harrison State park (former Fort Benjamin Harrison army post) is also located in Lawrence Township. This former fort has always been known for its natural beauty and quaint charm. The 1700 acre state park offers hiking, fishing, jogging, biking, or just enjoying the quiet beauty of nature. For golfers, there is a world class 18 hole golf course. The fort also features a YMCA with a fully equipped gymnasium, swimming pool, racquet ball courts and much more.

The Lawrence Township school system ranks among the top in the state. Residents have an average commute of 21.3 minutes to work. Lawrence Township features the City of Lawrence and the small quaint town of Oaklandon.
